Multimedia and audiovisual is not only my job. It’s a big patient in my life!

Some of my personal projects are award-winning and others are very popular in my home country, Morocco.

My ongoing projects:

Settatbladi.org

Settatbladi.org is a unique website dedicated entirely to “Al Aita”. I started this project with my dad Ahmed (photo) in 2007 by acquiring, digitalizing, and organizing old vinyl’s and cassettes in his possession.
Now, Settatbladi.org receives contributions from all over the world. It has more than 2,000 songs, more than 600 photos and lots of lyrics. It also includes other endangered genres of music in Morocco like “Malhoun” and “Aita Jablia.”

Like a Rolling Stone!

I have more footage than what I can edit. But, I usually take time to produce videos of my travels or just express what matters to me. Check my personnel channel and leave me your feedback!

Selwane.com le portail de la ville de Salé

My favorite team, from ltr: Khalid Derkaoui, Fatima Zahra Ennda, Jamila Lamnate, Samira, Ayyoub Ajmi, Hassan Boukhou Selwane.com is a web portal dedicated to my home town Salé. It was launched in 2002 as a static platform for news, culture and local events. Soon, it became a source for local and national news by excellence. The most popular section on the website was the coverage of the annual festivals in the country. I succeeded to gather a team to help maintain and feed the portal. And by 2007 I launched Selwane.tv the webTV of the city (an award winning website), amwaj.ma and settatbladi.ma
Unfortunately, when I moved in late 2007 to the US, I could not maintain a regular update and therefore Selwane.com is still online but only as a precious archive.

Moustaqbal Mdinti

Moustaqbal Mdinti was an online coverage of the legislative election of Morocco in 2007.
Politics in Morocco has its own particularities. Along with Guelzim Abdellatif, we decided to produce short videos with citizen, artists, scholars, political leaders, human right defenders, lawyers. Our main question was: “what are your expectations from the upcoming elections?”
The result was incredible! With more than 66 videos produced, the project had a great success among population and has been widely covered by national and international press.
